The construction project of Maroon LNG and liquefied gas plant 2300 was put out to public tender, the managing director of National Iranian South Oil Co. said.

According to National Iranian Oil Co. (NIOC), Gholam Reza Hasan Biglu said, "It is estimated that some 1877 Bln IR Rials and 194 Mln euro are allocated to the project."

He added, "The plant will be erected to promote the recovery of compounds more dense than ethane in Maroon gas field."

The plant's products stand at 28000 bpd of liquids more dense than ethane and 207 Mln cubic feet of light gas.

The managing director of National Iranian South Oil Co. (NISOC) also said, "According to the preliminary studies, the investments for the plant will be returned in less than a year."
