Managing director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company announced that with the concurrent of the Government Week (Aug. 23-30), Bahregansar oilfield will be officially inaugurated this week.

Mahmoud Zirakchianzadeh added that the launching of onshore and offshore facilities of Bahregansar oilfield, which will be inaugurated during the Government Week, is the most important project of the company.

"The project aims at raising the oil production rate from 40,000 bpd to 60,000 bpd," he said.

"There are three drilling platforms in Bahregansar oilfield and two in Hendijan oilfield," he continued.

Bahregansar oilfield is located in Boushehr province.
