Iranian Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari officially inaugurated the third Azerbaijan pipeline in Saveh today.

According to Shana News Agency, in the second day of the Government Week (Aug. 23-30), the pipeline as one of infrastructural projects in the country came on stream.

Referring to the production operations going through the region, Nozari in the inauguration ceremony expressed hope that the first drilling operation will result in oil.

"The geological seismological data show there is oil in the region," he said.

The Oil Minister further stated that the third Azerbaijan gas pipeline will help tackle gas supply deficit particularly in the country’s western and northwestern provinces.
