Separation of Sulphur from Hydrogen Sulphide of Gas

The Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) has succeeded in separating sulphur from the Hydrogen Sulphide contained in gas.

   

According to the website of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), manager of this project, Khaled Forsat, said: “The project's super-pilot has been commissioned with the capacity of 450000 cf/d”.

He added: “RIPI is the world's pioneer in using this technology. Employing this technique averts the flaring of the associated gases”.

He said the Iranian researchers spent 15 years to make this project operational.
