Iranian Drilling Fleet will take part in major projects in the Persian Gulf region, says the Managing Director of National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC).

According to the NIOC’s website, Heydar Bahmani said: "We are planning to increase the number of the drilling instruments from the current 50 to 75," adding, "We plan to renovate the existing instruments as well."

He said: "We also want to provide other countries with our technical and engineering drilling services."

He also said: "Drilling industry plays a major role in the oil industry, which is essential to discovery and production of oil."
