Gas Production to Increase by 2.4 mcm

Managing Director of Iran’s West Oil and Gas Exploitation Company (WOGEP), Mohsen Nouri, said the total gas production of the company will reach 7.6 million cubic meters per day within the next eight months.

   

He said two major gasfields, namely Sarajeh and Tang, will be exploited in the central city of Qom and Bijar, increasing the company’s total production.

"Our gas production presently stands at about 5.2 million cubic meters per day" he said, adding that the company’s total gas production will reach 10.6 million cubic meters per day by the end of 2010.

Nouri also pointed out that WOGEP is going to increase its production capacity to 10.6 by drilling more wells within next year.

West Oil and Gas Exploitation Company is a subsidiary of the Iranian Central Oilfields Company which exploits oil and gas resources mainly in the west of the country.
