Construction of the 26-inch and 131-km-long pipeline to transfer the heavy crude oil of Ahwaz field (from Production Unit 4) to North Bahmanshir has had a physical progress of 10%.

Head of the project to construct export pipelines of Iran’s southern oilfields, Nasser Khazraj, made the announcement, adding “the project is aimed at providing the needed feed for Abadan refinery and the new pipeline will replace the old one”.

He said “this is the third and major phase of the project to provide the feed of Abadan refinery”.

He put the cost of the project at 693 billion rials, saying some 456 billion rials of the amount have been allocated to buying pipes and other equipment.

Khazraj further said the rest amount will be spent for completing the executive operations of the project
