Iranian engineers have successfully installed a marine platform in Phase 6 of the South Pars Gasfield in the Persian Gulf.

The platform, namely SPD7, was installed 60 meters deep in the Persian Gulf. Iran’s Sadra Company conducted the executive operations of the project. The 2,800-ton platform, with a 14.5-meter height, was installed in a four-storey jacket in the Persian Gulf.

More than 100 million cubic meters of gas will be exploited on a daily basis from Phases 6, 7 and 8 of the South Pars Gasfield. Some 158,000 barrels of gas minerals on a daily basis and 1.6 million tons of propane and butane will be also produced on a yearly basis in the gasfield.

The Pars Oil and Gas Company, affiliated with the National Iranian Oil Company, is responsible to develop South Pars, North Pars, Gloshan and Ferdosi gasfields south of the country.
