NIDC’s Director for fluid services, Farshid Qasemi, said the first waste management system was set up last month in Azadegan Oilfield south of the country for drilling an oil well.
He said such systems will help prevent environmental degradation in drilling places as they highly take environmental standards into consideration.
“The operators should encourage contractors to use these environmentally-approved methods and systems,” he said.
According to Qasemi, a waste management system aims to cut the wastes in drilling facilities, recycle maximum drilling fluid and increase safety.
