"Tehran and Ashgabat held talks to ease problems on the gas purchase price," a senior gas official said.

According to Shana News Agency, Reza Kassaeizadeh, the managing director of National Iranian Gas Company, said that the talks were held in Tehran last week.

He added, "Tehran and Ashgabat talks are underway to reach a proper price formula."

He also said that Turkmen gas is now flowing to Iran as usual and the two sides hope to reach an agreement over the formula.
